Join us for a Montana Cattle Drive!
Though the days of the months-long cattle drive are long gone – moving cattle while horseback riding is still common all over the West. We happen to believe that horseback riding and a Montana cattle drive offer the very Best in the West.
If a cattle drive vacation is in your plans, we can accommodate any season in Montana – Spring through Fall. The Circle Bar invites guests to enjoy the best part of ranch work, a cattle drive while horseback riding in some of the most beautiful country in Montana. We work with several local ranches helping them optimize pasture use by keeping their herds on the move. They’re happy to have the extra help – we’re pleased to be able to offer our guests a great cattle drive vacation.
In Spring and early Summer all over Montana, cattle are taken from Winter to Summer pasture. Then all Summer long, ranchers continue to move their herds month to month, as they rotate pastureland. In the Fall, the cattle drive pushes the herd back to Winter ground. Though some ranches have turned to the four-wheeler to move cattle, many have chosen to remain true to tradition and always include horseback riding on the cattle drive. That’s the way it’s done here at the Circle Bar Ranch in Central Montana.
If you’re interested in a cattle drive vacation in Montana, take a look at our schedule and give us a call – and remember we move cattle while horseback riding all season long. There is no shortage of cattle work here – and quite often in Spring and early Summer we can also offer guests a chance to take part in a “branding” at one of several local ranches. Montana and the Circle Bar invite you to get a taste of the “Cowboy Way”, on a True West cattle drive.
