Hunting & Fishing in Montana

Our "wild" open Montana spaces are the perfect setting for either a hunting or fishing vacation. Theexperienced hunter as well as the novice will find plenty of opportunity for hunting elk, mule and whitetail deer, and antelope. Throughout the Little Belt Mountains and the surrounding area you can also go for hunting mountain lion, bear and moose.

There are thousands of acres available for hunting, including lots of state land and also nearby in Montana's Lewis and Clark National Forest and the Judith River Wildlife Management Area. If you've scheduled a hunting vacation in central Montana, the Circle Bar Ranch is the perfect base camp, with great rates, food and accommodations.

For those interested in fishing in Montana, the headwaters of the spectacular Judith River are located right on the ranch, and a short walk upstream and you'll be fishing the South and middle forks of the Judith. Out your backdoor or just upstream, you'll find healthy populations of native Rainbow, Cutthroat or Brook Trout, as well as some very large Brown Trout. Downstream and in nearby lakes and creeks, Montana sports many warm-water fishing varieties include Walleye, Northern Pike and Catfish.
